Teesta River Rafting Tours

The Teesta River, is the main drainage of Sikkim, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong Hill Region. It has been graded on the International scale at Grade 4. The icy cold waters of the rugged Teesta have a series of rapids with varying intensity, and character. It offers one of the finest rafting stretches. The Rangit, a tributary of the Teesta, has more turbulent waters. With its multi-dimensional rapids, it offers a challenge to more experienced rafters.

On both the rivers, the riverbanks have deep forests, with some patches of terraced cultivation, and small villages. Plenty of white sandy beaches exist, offering good campsites. Rapids of classification 2 to 4 are interspersed with placid floats, making rafting an enjoyable experience.

Our associates, DGHC Tourism provide International Class of equipment, and fully trained and licensed River Guides. We check out full safety requirements, before each rafting session, and our escort accompanies all our guests.

Rafting can be combined with trekking and other adventures. Tailor made trips with Overnight River beach camping also available.

Destination : Delhi-Bagdogra-Darjelling-Kalimpong-Siliguri-Delhi

Day 1 : Arrive Delhi
On arrival in Delhi, later transfer to the hotel.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : Delhi
After breakfast, visit the beautiful city Delhi, the capital of India covering Jama Masjid -
The largest mosque in Asia, Red Fort - The red stone magic, Raj Ghat - the memoir of the father of the nation. Laxmi Narayan Temple - The Place of Gods, the famous Humayun Tomb and the Bahai Temple, also known as the Lotus Temple, India Gate The memorial of martyrs, Parliament House - The Government headquarters, Also visit the Qutab Minar.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 : Delhi- Bagdogra
Take on flight for Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station. Later drive to Darjelling and transfer to hotel.
Overnight in hotel.

Day 4 : Dargelling
Early morning trip to Tiger Hill for sunrise views of Kanchenjunga range. Later full day city tour of Dargelling.
Overnight in hotel.

Day 5 : Dargelling-Kalimpong
Next morning driveto Kalimpong town enroute viewing the beautiful tea gardens. Later visit Durpin Monestary and Farmer's Bazaar.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 : Kalimpong-Siliguri
Next morning drive to Melli for water rafting in the river Teesta. Later in the afternoon drive to Siliguri
Overnight at hotel.

Day 7 : Siliguri-Delhi
Day free for leisure. Later depart at Bagdogra airport or NJP Railway Station to return back to Delhi.
